Nyisho geog is situated in the central part of the Dzongkhag. About 78% of the Geog is under forest cover with good internal access. Nyisho is made up of 7 villages (Shayba, Kunzangling, Gelay, Nyisho, Santengang, Gangjab and Gyensar) and consists of 256 no. of households. Nyisho consists of an estimated area of 115.5 sq km. The terrain is mostly rugged. There is 1 Lower Secondary School and a Middle Secondary School (GOI funded project in Samtengang), 1 GR II BHU in Samtengang, 1 RNR Center (staff Quarters) and 1 Gup’s office. There is a protected Tshog (lake) located in Samtengang
