The Finance Unit of Dzongkhag represents the ministry of finance for looking financial affairs in Dzongkhag. This section is responsible:
1. To ensure public funds are mobilized for public purposes with economy, efficiency and effectiveness at the same time in a transparent and accountable manner.
2. To facilitate the coordination among various sectors for proper execution of socio-economic development as per approved budget and plan.
3. Reporting the financial status to the ministries, management, custody and administration of funds and to prevent misuse, misappropriate and wastage of government funds and properties and to introduce accountability at every level.
