The health sector has total staff strength of 76 (including the Basic Health units). There are 10 BHUs (including Bajo BHU gr. 1), 1 Army Hospital at Tencholing, 2 doctors, 1 ACO, 2 indigenous units at Bajo and Phobjikha and i indigenous dungtsho.
Objectives:
1) to coordinate with the center and the Dzongkhag.
2) TO coordinate with the other sectors in the Dzongkhag.
3) To coordinate with the district Hospital and periphery BHUs in providing effective and quality health care services to the sick and poor.
