The mandate of Dzongkhag Planning Section
1. Planning the overall development activities in consultation with Dzongkhag sectors line ministries and people’s representative. This would bring about balanced socio-economic development and balance services development in the Dzongkhag.
2. Coordination function:
Planning unit coordinates the planning process and the implementations including budgeting to ensure uniformity, equitable and justifiable resource allocations and intersectoral coordination in implementation in development activities.
3. Monitoring and Reporting function:
Planning unit is mandated with progress monitoring of implementation development activities and services deliveries by all sectors under the district administration and preparing and submitting progress reports time to time to higher authorities.
