Opening of Biometric Data Collection for Digital Identity.

The official opening of Biometric Data Collection for National Digital Identity was done today 13.10.2021 for Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag in the RSTA conference hall. The opening was chaired by Ven. Lam Neten of Wangdue Dratshang and Hon. Dasho Dzongdag. 

The Department of Civil Registration and Census in collaboration with DITT, MOIC and Office of De-Suung is working on collecting Biometric Data for the entire population in the country for Digital Identity as a part of Druk Digital Flagship program.

To collect biometric data, team comprising of minimum 4 Desuups is deployed in each dzongkhags/gewogs. Currently the data collection is being done for Wangdue, Bajo residents. Anyone residing in Bajo can go and give your biometric data in the RSTA Conference Hall. The team will proceed to gewogs following a week long data collection at Bajo town.
